Product(s): ContextCapture Version(s): N\A Environment: N\A Area: N/A Subarea: N\A Problem - Sometimes, even if you chose the Automatic Aerial mode, ContextCapture does not manage to find the vertical and computes an "upside/down" AT Solution - If you don't have ground control points to georeference your model, a workaround consists in creating "fake control points" to reset the vertical. - Identify 3 points in your model and attribute them fake coordinates in a txt-format file. For example: - Import FakeGroundControlPoints.txt and click these fake points in the concerned pictures. - The accuracy of your GCP is really poor so once you re-compute the AT, make sure to select "Use control points for rigid registration". - The AT should now find its vertical orientation, however, your model is not "really" georeferenced and the measurements realized at this point are not correct. Wiki Page: DAE file entering LumenRT with unwanted material type: glass
Product(s): Bentley LumenRT Version(s): 15.50.20.24 Environment: N\A Area: Import Subarea: N\A Problem When you attempt to import a DAE file created in AutoCAD into LumenRT, all of the elements within the file have its material type set to "Glass" instead of "Standard". This gives the object an overall shiny and reflective look you may not want. Solution The cause for this issue lies in the Autodesk software you are using. Autodesk does not export the transparency value of the object in a way that LumenRT can correctly display. Basically, the COLLADA standard (which is the standard for DAE files) says that with respect to transparency, 1=opaque and 0=transparent, while it is the opposite for LumenRT. To fix this, open the DAE file at hand in notepad and use notepads' find/replace utility to change: sid="transparency">0 1< Saving and opening in LumenRT will show that the object's elements all now have material type set to "Standard".

Wiki Page: How to recover a corrupt LumenRT LiveCube
Product(s): Bentley LumenRT Version(s): 15.50.20.24 Environment: N\A Area: Import Subarea: N\A Problem I have a *.lrt file that crashes when it attempts to open. How do I recover this corrupt file? Solution The file itself has been corrupted most likely to the point of no return. Usually once a livecube has become corrupt, there is not much that can be done about that file. Fortunately, when you export out to LumenRT from MicroStation, a .bak file of the same name is also created. Follow the following steps to recover your data in LumenRT. 1. Rename your original *.lrt file as the same name but add "-corrupt" at the end. EX: "Lumen_Test.lrt" becomes "Lumen_Test-corrupt.lrt". This is so you are able to determine between your corrupt original and the backup. 2. Rename the *.bak file that was created with the *.lrt file to the exact same name the file had previously INCLUDING the file extension. EX: "Lumen_Test.bak" becomes "Lumen_Test.lrt". This new file will have all of the same modifications made to the previous files as the *lrt and the *bak files are constantly updated together. 3. Open the newly renamed .lrt file, and it should open just fine. Your data is recovered!

Forum Post: How to enable LumenRT for newly installed programs?
LumenRT is installed and enabled for few programs. Then new program is installed, and it will not have LumenRT menu. Do you need to fully re-install LumenRT, so that it would recognize new products? Or there is some configuration setting/utility, which can re-scan programs and enable LumenRT integration?

Forum Post: RE: PROBLEMS IN AEROTRIANGULATION
Hi Asier, Thanks for sharing the images. We managed to reproduce the same issue using your dataset. The pose of the cameras after AT is far away from their initial position. We believe the issue comes from the GPS tags of the images. They were, in some way, interchanged or maybe they are just wrong. Because of this the Block-AT is not “correctly” positioned after AT. The AT is computed independently and adjusted on wrong GPS tags, these GPS tags must be corrected before being used.

Forum Post: RE: How to enable LumenRT for newly installed programs?
Hi, the right procedure to install LumenRT on the top of the other software is: first install the software and then install LumenRT. Alternatively if you still have in your pc the lumenRT Setup file, you can run it as administrator and it will install again the software. This works also as "repair option" if LumenRT is corrupted in some part. regards Mara

Forum Post: Vissim location in LumenRT
Lords and Ladies of the forums, I have a few newb questions on LumenRT/Microstation/Vissim. Has anyone had any issues with exporting a DGN to LumenRT with a Vissim traffic simulation showing up in different locations or none at all? I'm noticing on some of our larger models, we need to break up the DGN elements into separate pieces or nothing will load within LumenRT or a small partial area of the model is exported (even when selecting large model export). Does anyone know of a tutorial on the Vissim side for use with DGN's as base maps? I'm not a Vissim guy, but the ani.txt file we receive doesn't seem to be working well with Microstation or LumenRT. On large models, we have had luck exporting an OBJ and importing that into LumenRT. Everything is loaded perfectly, but all the materials have a glass setting instead of standard. It's a bit of a pain, but it would be fantastic if we could change the default. How has your experience with LumenRT been so far? Thanks!

Forum Post: Why won't Pointools load?
I have the most basic problem in that Pointools simply won't load. I've downloaded the set-up file for both POD Creator and Pointools and then executed both. POD Creator is great and appears in the Bentley Downloads folder and works fine. Pointools, however, although I get a "Setup successful" message, clearly is not. It doesn't appear in my Bentley Downloads folder and in my Control Panel all that shows is the Set-up file (below) Has anyone else had this problem? If so how did you fix it? I've already tried deleting and downloading again, but without success. Thanks

Forum Post: Export to LumenRT w/Vissim
When exporting from Microstation to LumenRT with a Vissim ani.txt file, is there any way to make the traffic animations "clamp" to the surface elevation of the model? It appears elevations can be programmed into the Vissim model or txt file, but for a large project this could be very time consuming.

Forum Post: Nothing appears when I export with Vissim to LumenRT
I am having an issue with exporting to LumenRT with VISSIM. I have attempted numerous times to export with 3 different ani.txt files and no luck. My MircoStation environment was visible once, but no vehicles appeared. I have my background in both VISSIM and MicroStation set to 0,0,0.

Forum Post: RE: Nothing appears when I export with Vissim to LumenRT
We had issues getting our ani.txt files to appear at first as well, but after comparing the coordinates in the ani file with our Microstation we noticed our ani files exported in meters and our dgn was in feet. Once we got both located in the same geographic location we were able to see our traffic in LumenRT. It sounds like you are using 0,0,0 for both so I'm not sure it's the same issue.
