So now you know what I talked about? They are different.
Yes, now it is ... finally ... clear ;-) The source of the discussed problem is they are not the same tools in Pointools and MicroStation and don't work the same way. It's not the bug, but WAD (work as designed) as they are designed for different purposes. What you use as "zoom" in Pointools is not the zoom in fact, but more "walk through" tool, because camera position is changed. If you use zoom (both in real life and CAD programs), the camera position is not changed, but only camera viewing angle. So higher zoom doesn't allow to walk in behind the wall, you have to change your (camera) position. I am not sure if MicroStation offers exactly the same tool, but there are several similar tools available: Walk (key-in NAVIGATE CUSTOM WALK) Fly (key-in NAVIGATE CUSTOM FLY) Navigate View (key-in NAVIGATE VIEW) ... Navigate Camera (key-in CAMERA NAVIGATE) What will probably always be different how point clouds are displayed during a view dynamics, because MicroStation simplify objects when a view is changed to speed up the process. But maybe somebody else know a workaround. Regards, Jan
