Can you provide a link or more details to explain what product you are asking about? Do you mean MicroStation ... but there is no (SELECTseries 4) version available for MicroStation, so something else? It's also recommended to use exact and correctly written product names like: Bentley Descartes V8 i (SELECTseries 5) MicroStation V8 i (SELECTseries 3) Update 2 etc. In general, as visible from Pascal's answer, Bentley Descartes is raster, point clouds and STM (Scalable Terrain Model) product. While other products like MicroStation or PowerCivil are able to display rasters and point clouds (but not STM now), Descartes allows to edit rasters and analyze them. It also offers tools for work with point clouds (snap, vectorize, visualization, conversion to STM and DTM etc.). So the difference, regardless what product do you mean by "Bentley V8i", is raster, point cloud and STM tools, which are not available in any other Bentley product. With regards, Jan
